Nicole attended the University of California, Los Angeles and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science/International Relations Specialization. She obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law.
Nicole has over 17 years of experience in the handling of insurance coverage and insurance defense matters, including declaratory relief actions, "bad faith" litigation (representing insurers), construction defect defense cases, insurance mediations and arbitrations, and negotiations and counseling. Nicole has authored hundreds of coverage opinions involving CGL policies, first party property policies, auto policies, and personal liability policies.
Nicole is a seasoned litigator, bringing with her extensive experience in employment, commercial business litigation, medical malpractice and construction defect. Nicole has counseled business entities on employee related matters, compliance with state and federal employment laws, implementation of policies and procedures for the workplace and evaluating and drafting employee handbooks. Nicole has handled numerous lawsuits involving wrongful termination, wage and hour disputes, discrimination (age, gender, race, disability), and contractual disputes. Nicole has represented contractors in a wide variety of construction defect cases (including property damage claims and personal injury claims arising out of construction-site accidents). Nicole also has extensive experience in defending personal injury matters.
Nicole also has experience at the appellate court level. She has written several appellate briefs, and has successfully argued before the California Court of Appeal, 2d and 4th Appellate Districts.
Nicole is a current member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association. She is admitted to practice law in the State of California and in the United States District Court, Central District of California.
